Capital Dance Project

Capital Dance Project is an independent collective of professional dancers with a mission to uplift the spirit of the Sacramento community through the performing arts. CDP fulfills its mission by providing a platform for its artists to create world premiere works in collaboration with local artists and musicians, and by providing opportunities to engage and connect with the Sacramento community to make dance accessible to everyone.

The company has been widely recognized for its fusion of ballet and modern techniques and for its numerous groundbreaking collaborations with, among others, writers Leslie Scalapino and Rinde Eckert; actors Bill Irwin, Geoff Hoyle and Robin Williams; and visual artists Wayne Thiebaud and Eleanor Coppola.
